Are you interested in starting your own website and earning passive income as an Amazon affiliate marketer? If so, you’re in luck! In today’s video, we’re going to share five easy steps to get you up and running with your own website. But before we dive into that, let’s quickly recap what we’ve covered in the first two parts of our “Amazon Affiliate Marketing for Beginners” series.

In our first video, we introduced the basics of Amazon affiliate marketing and the two programs available for earning commissions: Amazon Associates and Amazon Influencer Program. In the second video, we took a behind-the-scenes look at how I generate passive income through these programs and provided some tips for finding a profitable niche.

Now, let’s move on to the five steps you need to take to create your own website as an Amazon affiliate marketer.

Step 1: Choose a Domain Name
The first thing you need to do is choose a domain name that represents your niche and brand. It should be short, memorable, and easy to spell. If you need help coming up with a domain name, you can try using AI software or book a consultation with me.

Step 2: Choose a Hosting Provider and Set Up Your Website
Once you have your domain name, it’s time to choose a hosting provider and set up your website. I use self-hosted WordPress and host on Akamai, but if you want an easier path, you can use WordPress.com.

Step 3: Focus on User Experience and Design
Your website should be visually appealing, easy to navigate, and mobile-friendly. I recommend using the Astra theme and Elementor-Pro for WordPress. Both are popular for a reason and together allow more customization than you’ll ever need.

Step 4: Create Valuable and Engaging Content
Your website is your affiliate revenue generator, so you need to create valuable and engaging content that meets shoppers where they are – right about to buy. You should focus on commercial and transactional intent content, such as product reviews, comparisons, best-of guides, or listicles that help buyers make a decision in their best interests.

Step 5: Optimize Your Content for SEO
Don’t forget about search engine optimization, or SEO. By optimizing your content with relevant keywords and high-quality backlinks, you’ll increase your chances of ranking higher on search engine results pages, which means more traffic and potential customers. Several tools you can use include: SEMrush, Surfer SEO, and Google Analytics.

In summary, creating a website as an Amazon affiliate marketer is a great way to generate passive income. Just follow these five easy steps, and you’ll be on your way to building a profitable online business.
