…C-Reactive protein (CRP) is an acute phase reactant, which means its plasma level increases in cases of inflammation, and decreases back to normal when you cure the inflammation.

Normal plasma CRP level is 0.8 to 3 mg/L

Both C-reactive protein (CRP), and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) increase in cases of inflammation, that’s the definition of acute phase reactants.
